Muskrat/Beaver?
OK, another story. One of the tricks of photographing wildlife is to stand in a still position for as long as it takes for something to happen! I was photographing a pair of Mountain Bluebirds and a Yellow-rumped Warbler when I noticed this beaver. I have a problem identifying mammals that look like rodents. I was positive this was a beaver until my wife saw the picture and said, "That's not a beaver, it's a muskrat! The same thing happened with the otter! "That's not a beaver it's an otter!" I hope she never ends up saying "That wasn't a black bear, it's a grizzly!"
